Jade Kim (b.1981, Soul, South Korea) is an artist who studied at the Korea National University of Arts, now lives and works in Soul, Korea. He worked in the fields of exhibition curating and product planning for nearly ten years. Eventually, he determined to commit himself to art creation where his passion lies.

Jade’s creation is based on a cartoon icon named “MIN”, and the character is inspired by his wife, which combines his wife’s hobbies with his innocent and romantic imagination. The background of Jade’s work is often a distant scenery outside the city. The indifferent and sad expressions of the characters express an attitude towards the world, such as withdrawal and calm.
